Dirks Car Wash Southside Touchless

I repeatedly explained that I wanted a monthly membership, but I was charged for a single wash that I never used. When I called to request a refund, the representative repeatedly hung up and laughed instead of helping. In the attached clip, I clearly tell him that I am recording, and he continues the call. I also visited another location for assistance, but no one resolved the issue. The $23 is not the main problem the way I was treated is stay away from this place

I went to the Southside location intending to purchase a monthly membership. The kiosk directed me to call customer service. I clearly told the representative that I wanted a monthly plan and specifically asked whether the payment was for the monthly membership. He told me to tap my card first and said he would take care of it. After charging me $23, he admitted that he had sold me only a single wash and immediately hung up. I did not use the wash because it was not what I requested or agreed to purchase. I then called the other number listed on the company’s website to request a refund. Instead of helping me, the person repeatedly laughed, said random things such as “Tuesday” and “not today,” and hung up on me multiple times. During a later call, he stayed on the phone laughing for several minutes while I repeatedly asked for my money back. I told him the interaction was being recorded, but the behavior continued. Because the Southside location was unattended, I went to the Shadyside location for help. An employee told me the number belonged to the owner, contacted someone, and then told me to leave or the police would be called. I left immediately. No refund or solution was offer

Bought the gold wash this morning. Just made a mess of my truck. I noticed that before the brushes started, barely any soap was applied. Then after the brushes were done, a thicker soap was applied, then washed off. Seems like some adjustments need to be made. Very disappointed. I had a dirty truck and now I have a streaky, dirty truck. I’ll be using the new wash down the street

I’d advise against getting a monthly pass here , the touch-less wash is constantly broken. I went through one day while an employee was there . The wash stopped and left my car with soap all over it and dry cycle didn’t work. He said I could go back through ( big deal I have a monthly pass) either way he saw after the second time the same thing happened . There was no solution offered. I reached out by phone to get some help, they said the glare from the sun caused it to break. Anyway a week later it’s been down for a few more days . They should offer a refund.

The soft cloth wash (a PDQ Tandem RiteTouch) usually does well. Some people mentioned not getting a hot wax at this location but I don't think the machine is set up to even offer it - the higher tiers get undercarriage cleaning, a wheel clean, color polish and surface protection. And yes, it does pre-soak. My only complaint is the soap doesn't seem to be the best and doesn't give great coverage, but it does the job. I really wish the vacuums accepted cards though!
